Goofy-Summer-Reads:)Oprah may have her book of the month club to tantalize your literary palette, but I am here to free you of such epic Summer reading. After all, schools out!!! It’s time to have some fun with your reads, so I give you the Summer weekend books to waste the two days of free time us Goddess Queens have between becoming President and taking over the world this Summer:)
This weeks “goofy-summer-read” is book the 13th of the popular “Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events” series. It’s entitled quite simply… “The End”. The Snicket books remind me of the Bugs Bunny cartoons of old. Throughout the series there are hilarious visual jokes as well as verbal jokes that all but jump off the page toward the reader. There also is an underlying subplot about the author Lemony Snicket, that most readers would argue is slightly more intriguing than the series plot itself. Interesting and dastardly characters make you want to pour through these books like a hot knife through butter. Trust me. Once you pick up these books, you won’t want to put them down.

HBO:)
No I didn’t just say (Ho-bow). How could any good cable hook-up be complete without H.B.O. If for nothing else, for the upcoming final season EVER of Deadwood. That’s right. The famous HBO series is coming to a close at the peak of popularity. And, you know that a series about gun slingers, gold diggers, and the rootinest-tootinest hombres that ever lived in the era of Wild Bill himself is deffinately going to go out… with a bang:)

Well let us all forget the last flick-flop… what was that called again?!! Right, let’s put that Bomb aside and look at the bulk of M. Night’s work. The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs… they speak for themselves. M. Night Shyamalan is one of the most brilliant young directors of the 21st century. His films strike fear and shock into the hearts and minds of audiences everywhere. His films bear a close resemblance to the genius of the late great Alfred Hitchcock yet retain a style that is all Shyamalan. He has a way of finding a persons fright button, and pressing it so slightly that they don’t even realize it’s being pressed until the goosebumps crawl up their spine. The teaser for his latest film, “Lady In the Water”, is as intriguing as it is terrifying. It’s a must see for this Summer, and will be released this June. Click below to see the trailer:)
